The Event Services Chair
With less than a week to go until the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. We wanted to share with you one of our favourite pieces of FF&E, the Events Services Chair. Designed by Harry Ramler for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, this chair also known as the EVS Chair or Spectator Services Chair has been used across multiple Olympic & Paralympic Games and Commonwealth Games for the last 20 years.
With its iconic design and often bright colours, you will never miss it as you make your way into a venue with the help of a friendly volunteer sitting atop to guide you. The chair is always customised to meet the look and branding of a specific event. Pictured here is the Blue and Pink combo of the London 2012 Olympics, the Green on Green for the Rio 2016 Olympics and the memorable Ocean Blue of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
