RGS Events is the world’s leading FF&E Supplier
We have been involved in the sporting events market since the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, providing our wide range of services and in many cases, becoming a Sponsor.
Our family furniture business was established in Australia in 1950 – first as manufacturers and then developing global supplier relationships providing bespoke commercial designs for our international clients.
The business was started by my father, Harry Ramler and now three generations later, it has branched out with RGS Events providing a four-pillar FF&E solution to Games around the world – Project Management, Procurement, Dissolution and Sponsorship.
Paul Ramler AM
CEO & Project Director
We have developed a proven methodology for project managing the supply and installation of FF&E across international major events spanning almost 20 years. With our embedded staff and back-of-house support including international QC teams, we have strong and experienced project teams to deliver high quality, cost competitive FF&E solutions.
We operate with highly skilled teams that are generally embedded within an Organising Committee to become a seamless part of the overall procurement and logistics operations managing all aspects of the FF&E supply chain and providing detailed reporting and manuals covering Products, OH&S as well as graphic design proposals.
We work closely with Material Planners, Athletes and Broadcasters to assist in developing the FF&E scope including quantification and design (both product and Look) to produce a tailor made, commercial quality product, with a focus on new and innovative concepts for each event.
With our goal of ensuring that each item looks as good on the last day as it does on the first, we have a stringent Quality Assurance process – product quality and timeliness of their deliveries – that manages the sampling, pre-production, manufacturing, packaging and loading of all our products.
We assist with the planning & execution for Bump In and Bump Out and the safe packaging and handling of all FF&E. We coordinate the workforce – instructing crews on all related matters of OH&S – and provide detailed forecasts for both labour requirements and vehicle needs. For product supplied knocked down, we manage the Assembly Lines required on a JIT basis.
We have set high levels in regard to all areas of sustainability including but not limited to environmental and ethical standards. Being a member of SEDEX allows us to use a global resource to vet and manage our supply chain. Furthermore, we are proud to support each event we work with knowing that we have developed various agreed legacy outcomes through supporting local manufactures, charities and up-skilling the workforce.
As part of our ‘end-to-end’ solution we offer our events a complete Dissolution or Salvage strategy. Through our network of international buyers and complimentary major events we arrange the collection, packaging and shipment of all FF&E out of the Venues & Village to it’s new destination. Our planning ensures that our Bump Out deadlines are met and all assets disposed of in the most efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
A GLIMPSE OF WORK WE’VE DONE FOR OUR INCREDIBLE CLIENTS
YOU HAVE PLANNED, PREPARED AND DELIVERED THE BEST GAMES EVER. We have only been successful because of the dedication and commitment of you and your team in providing your services to the highest professional level. Your contribution to the Olympic Games heralded as “The Best Games Ever” by Juan Antonio Samaranch has been outstanding.
RGS was able to provide invaluable input with respect to cost planning, supply options and scope validation. RGS’s open book accounting and commitment to lowest cost solutions resulted in significant cost benefit to ATHOC.
The professionalism, dedication and major event experience the RGS team demonstrated in providing a seamless, turnkey FF&E solution for the Village and Competition Venues throughout the planning, construction and operational phases of the project was appreciated by many at M2006. The ability of your team to rise to the challenge was certainly noted.
It has truly been inspiring and an education to work with you over the past 3 years. I’ve enjoyed your presence in the team and believe that Team RGS have contributed enormously to both the success of the Games and specifically to the success of the Logistics team. Until next time…..thanks for everything.
The performance, commitment and dedication by the RGS team in what is a very complex operation, is nothing short of outstanding. They are always willing to help, with a ‘can do’ attitude, instilling an infectious enthusiasm which elevates the team and those around them. RGS will go that extra mile to ensure their quality of service is second to none. As a service provider I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending RGS to any potential clients. They are not only an outstanding team, they are all outstanding individuals.
RGS have been an outstanding supplier for the TO2015 Pan Am Games. Their in-depth understanding of the Games world made our lives easier throughout the entire process, and helped us deliver an unforgettable multi-sport event for the city of Toronto. Professional, knowledgeable, committed – RGS always did what they said they would do, and made it fun along the way. We were fortunate to have you on board!
RGS proved themselves as extremely adaptable and flexible in their workings with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee which led to many innovative solutions which due to reduced manufacturing and handling costs significantly reduced Organising Committee costs. In addition RGS’s total commitment to the project propelled the project forward and this coupled with their experience and expertise contributed to the overall success of the complete logistics solution. RGS also stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Rio2016 Logistics team by providing resources for areas which were not within their remit or obligation; this included the movement of Sports Equipment and Athletes Arrivals. I would therefore without hesitation recommend RGS to any Organising Committee with a requirement for event FF&E, highly experienced Project Management and the dependable support for the larger Logistics team.
