Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games FF&E Production Begins

In late December, after 12 months of detailed planning, sampling, countless revisions, much debate over colour and material selections and technical sign offs, it was finally time. We sent off our final production orders and started to manufacture the FF&E required for the upcoming Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

With more than 138 different SKU’s of FF&E required for the Games, our local and international manufacturing partners have been working tirelessly over the last few months to bring to life all of the items that make up a Major Events FF&E package.

There is no better feeling for us than seeing the first project specific FF&E come off the production line. Knowing how much has gone into the decision-making process for these items, it’s a special moment in any project.

All the FF&E is now being Quality Control approved, packed and loaded into ocean containers, trucks and aeroplanes. Much of It is already in the process of being transported to Birmingham with the first international shipments scheduled to arrive next week.

Our local items have already started making their way into the B2022 warehouse, where they are being assembled, palletised and stored awaiting distribution to all the B2022 Venues in the coming months.
