FF&E Incoming!!!

This week we reached a milestone in our Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games project. The first international containers of FF&E arrived at the CLW (Central Logistics Warehouse) of B2022.

The first containers arrived filled to the brim with folding tables and chairs as far as the eye could see. Carton after carton was removed, counted, palletised and then put away in racking.

The B2022 CLW which is being provided by Kuehne+Nagel is a sight to behold. Big, bright, modern, and about to become very full of RGS FF&E, as well as all the other various bits and pieces that are needed to stage a successful Commonwealth Games.

We recently welcomed a new team member to the B2022 project, Jared Salkow who has joined the RGS B2022 team as our Logistics Manager and ‘FF&E Guru’.  Jared comes on board to oversee all the FF&E arrivals into the CLW and provide product and assembly training to the B2022 team.

It’s going to be an exciting next couple of months as all the FF&E arrives and gets distributed out to all the B2022 Venues and Villages. With only 120 days to go until the opening ceremony, it is all systems go on project B2022!
